RED GIANT AGAINTS PERSIB BANDUNG IN SELANGOR CUP 2009

The Red Giants will play against Indonesian club Persib Bandung in the inaugural Selangor Cup football match at the Shah Alam Stadium on July 31.
The FA of Selangor (FAS) president, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, said that the Selangor Cup would be an annual affair and future matches may feature world renowned clubs from Europe.
“If the Selangor Cup is well received and we continue to stamp our mark in Malaysian football, there is a possibility of inviting teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona or Liverpool,” he said after the launch of the Selangor Cup in Shah Alam yesterday.
Persib Bandung finished third in the Indonesian League this year behind champions Persipura Jayapura and Persiwa Wamena.
They have several past and present internationals in their ranks, among them striker Christian Gonzales, who is the joint top scorer with Boaz Solossa with 28 goals. And the foreigners in their side are Lorenzo Cananas (Paraguay), Nyeck Nyobe (Cameroon), Rafael Alfes Bastos and Hilton Moreira (Brazil).
The team’s assistant coach, former international Robby Darwis, was among the Indonesian delegation at the launch ceremony yesterday.
Selangor manager Zakaria Abdul Rahman did not rule out the possibility of his team including guest players for the match against Persib Bandung.
“We want to attract more fans and if we get the green light from the FAS president, we will work on it,” said Zakaria of having in their side Indonesians Bambang Pamungkas and Ellie Aiboy, who played key roles in Selangor’s trebles success in 2005.
Tickets for the match have been priced at RM10 (adults) and RM5 (children below 12-years-old).

PENYANYI tersohor, M. Nasir berjanji akan menyajikan sesuatu kelainan dalam konsert terbarunya, ‘Konsert Satu Wajah’ bulan hadapan, berbanding dengan Konsert Alam Muzik.
Janjinya, pelbagai tema dan irama akan dipersembahkan dalam persembahannya itu.
“Tidak sama, (tetapi) ada kesinambungan dari konsert saya pada Februari lalu. Tenaganya berbeza. Visualnya lain. Set 3D tidak sama. Keseluruhannya berlainan dengan di Istana Budaya,” ujarnya.
Kata Nasir lagi, dia akan bawa lebih banyak membawa lagu-lagu balada dalam konsertnya kali ini. Pilihan lagu juga akan meliputi adunan lagu baru dan lama serta lagu-lagu artis lain.
“Saya rasa banyak lagu balada yang tak dapat saya nyanyi… yang awak suka tapi saya tak dapat nyanyi (dalam konsert terdahulu). Jadi, saya akan menyanyi lebih banyak lagu balada dalam konsert kali ini,” ujarnya.

Proving himself as a music icon and wholesome entertainer who has stood the test of time, Malaysian music genius M.Nasir is back yet again in a grand concert at Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur on July 25, 2009. M.Nasir had graced the Stadium Negara stage when he performed at the “Canggung Mendonan” in 1994.
Billed “Konsert Kemanusian M.Nasir”, it marks the second big-budgeted performance headlined by the award-winning singer-composer-producer-film director for 2009. The first being “Konsert Alam”, the three-night sold-out concert staged at the prestigious Panggung Sari at Istana Budaya in Kuala Lumpur from February 27 to March 1.
Produced and organised by Maya Axis Creative Sdn Bhd, the 2 ½-hour is expected to kick offat 8.30pm with ticket Price line up from RM 253.00, RM 153.00, RM83.00 and RM 53.00. (Price include RM 3.00 Ticket Hotline processing fees). seating arrangement will be on free seating basis.
The Concert will mark a milestone for a local mega concert production ever staged in 2009.

Concert by established singer/composer M Nasir at Stadium Negara this Saturday July 25th 2009 is postponed to a later date to be announced soon.
Kuala Lumpur, 22nd July, 2009 – The much-awaited ‘Konsert Satu Wajah M Nasir’ to be staged this Saturday 25th July, 2009 has been postponed to a later date to be announced soon.
Maya Axis Creative Sdn Bhd Managing Director Samirah Hambali the organiser of the second solo concert by the renowned artiste said a new date will be announced once it is finalised.
Samirah said fans who have purchased tickets for the concert need not worry as the tickets can still be used on the new date. Tickets for the concert were on sale since middle of June. Samirah added that response from music fans have been encouraging.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused due to the postponement. It is inevitable that the announcement for the postponement is made at the last minute. Fans need not worry as Maya Axis will make sure that the concert will take to the stage at a suitable date which will be decided soon,” she added.
“As the organiser, we would want to give the best for music fans especially die-hards of M Nasir as such we hope that everyone can be patient as we will be announcing the new date soon.”
Tickets for the concert are priced at RM253, RM153, RM83 and RM53.
Early birds who purchase RM253 tickets get a VIP car sticker to park at the stadium. The tickets and the sticker will be hand delivered if the buyer is from the Klang Valley area. Fans from other states can collect both the ticket and the car sticker from the venue from a day before the event to an hour before the event. Prices for the tickets are inclusive of RM3 Ticket Hotline processing fees.

Nasir will be accompanied by a 14-piece band during his 150 minutes performance. ‘Konsert Satu Wajah M Nasir’ promises the best from the music mogul and he is expected to perform 29 of his best songs from various genres taken from all his seven albums released since 1979 and songs which he had written for other artistes; Alleycats, Hattan, Search, Wings, Mawi, Ella and many more.

The Harlem Globetrotters are an exhibition basketball team that combines athleticism and comedy. The Globetrotters were created in 1926 in Chicago and have since then played more than 22,000 games in 118 countries with having lost only three matches in their entire history.

After two months of rest since our last appearance in Kuala Terengganu, we are highly anticipating our next stage performance in Kuala Lumpur. This time around we want to make sure our fans know who their rocking with!
The concert carnival will be held at the Polo Pavilion, Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort, Kuala Lumpur on 1 August 2009 from 3.00pm until midnight and is expected to be our biggest gig for 2009.
This will be our fifth performance from of the Search Di Awan Biru Concert Tour series organized by Art-Is At Work Sdn Bhd. Celcom, being main sponsor and also our advertising & promotions partner, has commenced an extensive television & print campaign to promote the concert.
We may be a 28 year old Rock & Roll band but we still have a few surprises up our sleeves. We are honored to have our long time friend & band member on stage rocking with us just like old times. Kid, who has been with Search since the ‘Fenomena’ album in 1989, will be performing side by side with Hillary & Din on guitars. We hope that Kid’s fans are excited to see him back on stage with us.
To make this eight-hour concert carnival more festive, we have invited four independent bands to share the stage with us. Among the bands confirmed are Pesawat, Revenge, Zip Ziller & Republic of Brickfields. There will also be food, drinks & other activities at our co-sponsor & vendor booths throughout the day.

KUALA LUMPUR – Naib juara tahun lalu, Selangor mengetuai kemaraan empat negeri ke separuh akhir persaingan bola sepak Piala FA setelah menewaskan Perak 2-0 pada perlawanan kedua suku akhir di Stadium Shah Alam, semalam.
Dua tandukan C. Premnath dan Rudie Ramli pada minit ke-78 dan 90 memastikan Merah Kuning melangkah penuh yakin dengan agregat 4-1 setelah turut menumpaskan Seladang 2-1 dalam suku akhir pertama di Ipoh, Selasa lalu.
Selangor bakal menentang Perlis yang turut layak ke separuh akhir setelah diikat skuad Bawah 20 tahun negara, Harimau Muda tanpa jaringan di Stadium Utama Negeri, Kangar sekali gus membolehkan Singa Utara menang secara agregat 1-0.
Kelantan pula kian hampir untuk meraih piala sulung musim 2009 dengan garang menewaskan kelab Liga Super, UPB-MyTeam 3-1 di Stadium Sultan Muhammed IV, Kota Bharu lalu ke separuh akhir menerusi agregat 4-2.
Pelawat yang mengikat anak buah Peter Butler 1-1 di Petaling Jaya, Selasa lalu, bagaimanapun mendahului 1-0 menerusi jaringan penyerang negara, Norshahrul Idlan Talaha pada minit kesembilan.
Namun, tuan rumah ternyata jauh lebih gagah dan masih kebal di gelanggangnya dengan menyamakan dan melebarkan kedudukan menerusi Zamri Ramli pada minit ke-25, Nor Farhan Muhammad (53) dan Badri Radzi (58).
Wira Merah bakal berentap pada separuh akhir dengan Negeri Sembilan yang sekadar diikat tanpa jaringan oleh kelab Liga Perdana, T-Team dari Terengganu di Stadium Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Paroi, Seremban.
Skuad bimbingan Wan Jamak Wan Hassan itu turut mara secara agregat dengan bekalan satu jaringan daripada keputusan suku akhir pertama di Kuala Terengganu, Selasa lalu.
